Prizmo has a clean, modern user interface. Its OCR engine is pretty accurate and its included software tools make it easy to edit and improve the quality of the images after scanning for either text recognition or for photos. The software’s onscreen text clipping feature is a handy bonus.

C'est vraiment juste trop bien. Y a vraiment rien à dire. Et surtout, ça marche vraiment mais vraiment super bien. Vous voyez, y a vraiment aucune faute. Enfin, je veux dire, c'est quand même assez rare qu'on ait un logiciel aussi bien fait d'un point de vue graphique et d'un point de vue des performances. ça va vite, c'est beau et c'est puissant. Donc, je vous recommande vraiment d'acheter cette application.

Prizmo OCR’s skewed scans (review)

When using Prizmo 2 with screenshots, scans or photos, you will get a complete array of editing tools at your disposal. In many cases, you won’t need them, but it is often possible to improve the OCR results to a full 100% by using some of them.

All tools are readily available in the bottom toolbar. The Crop tool is the most important, as it allows you to focus on exactly what you want to convert to readable text. The Crop feature also holds the tools to adjust the frame, perspective, and curvature. I found that creating an exact crop makes a huge difference. Do it sloppy, and you’ll probably end up with poor OCR results. Take your time, and the score goes up dramatically.

I found Prizmo 2 to perform brilliantly on photos shot from an angle, even with perspective.

Prizmo est une bonne alternative aux logiciels d’OCR. Performant et élégant, il sera probablement suffisant à qui ne souhaite pas dupliquer des documents à l’identique, mais bien créer des documents facilement indexables.

Voilà un logiciel utile au quotidien, aux fonctions performantes et d’une grande qualité d’interface et d’ergonomie! Son OCR multilingue sur des documents de qualité moyenne est fiable; la traduction à la demande des textes extraits est aussi une fonction très agréable. Prizmo 2 est une belle réussite.

Si Prizmo n’oppose au­cune résistance à des documents nu­mérisés à plat par un appareil dédié, je trouve qu’il s’en sort bien aussi avec des éléments d'information capturés par un smartphone, un compact de poche, voire la webcam du Mac (ou une autre).

Tout se fait dans une interface mono­bloc, largement revue, très facile à prendre en main. Les deux phases du traitement du document (prépara­tion, puis analyse, extraction et reconnaissance des textes) sont bien identi­fiées.

Prizmo est à mon avis un très bon logi­ciel, peut­-être le meilleur du catalogue de Creaceed. Il peut servir en de multi­ples occasions, aussi bien dans des ac­tivités professionnelles que dans la vie quotidienne.

Prizmo 2: pour capturer du texte de partout

Je vous parlais d’un texte de 300 PPP pour parvenir à une bonne reconnaissance avec les logiciels traditionnels? Pas avec Prizmo. En effet, ce logiciel accepte tout et n’importe quoi à manger, et le plus incroyable, c’est qu’il donne de très bons résultats.

Mais vous pouvez également envoyer des captures d’écran, qui ont d’habitude contre elles d’être d’avoir une résolution de tout temps largement insuffisante pour permettre un OCR de qualité. Si vous glissez une copie d’écran, Prizmo vous propose de multiplier par 2 (et semble-t-il par 4) la résolution pour améliorer la reconnaissance. Acceptez bon sang, ça ne mange pas de pain.

Mieux même!Prizmo vous propose un petit menu permanent qui nous permet de sélectionner du texte à tout instant en tirant un rectangle autour d’une zone ou d’une image en comportant, en choisissant ensuite la langue, puis en cliquant sur "Copier le texte" (avec ou sans retour de chariot à la fin de chaque ligne, c’est tout nouveau dans la dernière version 2.02 qui vient de sortir). Tout cela est très pratique, et l’on se rend compte que ce programme est très souvent utile, ce d’autant plus qu’on l’a toujours à disposition.

Prizmo is a beautifully designed app. The developers have paid great attention to detail and that reflects in every aspect of interaction with the app. All the app’s tools are accessed by means of popovers with smooth and discreet animations, making the app a pleasure to use.

Given its array of features, even those with a dedicated OCR app can benefit from Prizmo. From the simple menubar tool to capture difficult text to the translation and text-to-speech, Prizmo is sure to have something to fit your needs. Those requiring the power and flexibility of automation are not left out in the cold while those with more humble needs are catered to with great elegance.

The attention to detail mentioned earlier goes to the point of the developers providing the user guide in the form of an interactive iBook that is a pleasure to read on the iPad. There’s little more you could ask from a modern Mac OCR app, and Prizmo is an app we highly recommend if you want to do advanced OCR on your Mac.

Prizmo 2 è davvero un’ottima app: riconosce il testo quasi perfettamente, integra iCloud (ciò le permette di interfacciarsi con la versione per iOS), supporta più di 40 lingue e si può chiederle anche di leggerti il testo appena riconosciuto o tradurlo in un’altra lingua. Certo il prezzo non è per tutte le tasche, ma vale ogni singolo centesimo speso.

I tested Prizmo 2 with PDF files, screen captures and my Epson XP-400 printer/scanner. The results were highly accurate and the OCR speed was very fast. The app took about 1.5 seconds to recognize the text in a single document. The text-to-speech was easy to understand. As it reads, the software highlights the words it is reading on-screen.

Prizmo 2 is powerful and reliable. If you need its features, I can recommend it without reservation.
