Collaborative Drawing. Unleashed Creativity.

Inko is a collaborative whiteboard that lets you draw using multiple iPad, iPhone or Mac devices, and even interact on Apple TV.

Brainstorming together, group homework, or having fun while solving a problem are just a few examples. And thanks to peer-to-peer, there’s no need for complex network setup. Just find a place, and start drawing.

And if you’re far away, Inko 2.0 brings remote collaboration over the Internet, in addition to other useful new features such as Dark Mode support, modernized UI, Metal rendering and (wow!) a Mac app.
Seeing other participants’ drawing trails as they occur really gives a sense of being part of the group whether you are all in the same place or all around the world. It’s magical. And the drawing always stays sharp at any zoom level. Moreover, the ephemeral highlighter lets you interact by catching others’ attention to a particular place in the canvas. Very handy when collaborating.

School and Enterprise Ready.

Schools and enterprises are places where creativity and collaboration play an important role. Inko is particularly well suited to these environments, as it offers a great drawing experience with a nomadic and seamless connectivity.

A large screen can be used when needed thanks to the Apple TV companion app, so that no one is left aside. It really shines in 4K, and is actually much more affordable than dedicated interactive whiteboard hardware. Not only that, but the remote-operated highlighter is also pretty remarkable.

There's even more. Reusable groups of participants make it easy to quickly start a session with the same people again, which saves the trouble of starting from scratch. You have unlimited imagination? You get an unlimited number of canvases. And hi-res PDF exports allow long-term digital archiving to never lose your group’s work. Digital productivity 101.

Inko’s app variant “Inko (Volume Ed.)” is now available through Apple's volume purchase program (VPP) and is functionally equivalent to Inko with the Nearby Plan unlocked (local connectivity only).

Easy, Yet Smart & Powerful.

Inko’s nomadic connectivity is an advanced feature that is built upon iOS peer-to-peer networking capability. iPhone, iPad, Mac, as well as Apple TV all support it, enabling seamless connection with nearby devices, in any circumstances.

Moreover, the new remote collaboration capability offers seamless connectivity over the Internet for global reach. You are now able to collaborate from anywhere. Combined with video conferencing, Inko is thus a key tool for remote collaboration, teaching, or group work.

A variety of drawing tools, including a calligraphic option, are provided. Also, Apple Pencil is an amazing piece of technology that Inko fully supports in its finest details such as pressure and angle sensitivity, high-speed sampling and predictive input to provide an outstanding drawing experience.

Multiple users editing the same data simultaneously can be overwhelming. However, Inko makes it transparent and conflict-free thanks to a robust data model and per user undo/redo.

Finally, Inko offers all sorts of iOS productivity features, like iCloud syncing for personal drawings, Drag & Drop, Split View Multitasking on iPad, Today Widget, Quick Actions, Dark Mode, and Siri Shortcuts.

Why Choose Inko?

For two reasons: integration of the latest Apple technologies and privacy. Where “free” Big Tech™ alternatives often offer a cross-platform web-based canvas, Inko instead provides a superior experience on Apple devices thanks to high-quality integration with Apple technologies like peer-to-peer networking, pressure & angle sensitive Apple Pencil support, a standalone Apple TV app + remote integration, and high performance Metal rendering with support for vivid colors (P3 displays).

“Free” offerings often hide that they build a marketing profile by peeping into your content, profile that they then sell to other companies through ad placement. Inko, on the other hand, respects your privacy: you don’t have to create an account (we don’t know who you are) and your drawing content is end-to-end encrypted (we don’t have access to the decryption key, only you & the persons in your drawing group can access it). Furthermore, we clean up our servers of drawing data every 24H as an additional security measure. More generally, our business model, by design, is not at all linked to your content, as stated in our privacy policy.

Flexible Pricing Models.

Multi-user collaboration requires a subscription. Two plans are proposed that enable all your devices (iPad, iPhone, Mac) and let other users join using just the free app:
  • Nearby Plan ($1.99/month, $9.99/year) enables local collaboration over peer-to-peer or LAN.
  • Remote Plan ($3.99/month, $29.99/year) enables remote collaboration over the Internet. Also includes all features of Nearby Plan.
Both plans offer a fully functional 7-day free trial. The free app provides full drawing capabilities in single user mode, lets you access, organize, & export your drawings, and try out nearby collaboration for 5-minute time-limited sessions.

The Apple TV companion app is completely free.

Dedicated interactive whiteboard hardware can be very expensive, well over $10,000 or even $20,000 depending on options. Inko is not only more flexible as it does not require a fixed place, but, because it runs on off-the-shelf hardware which can serve many other purposes, it’s actually *cheaper* to deploy. Moreover, adding a number of new displays in different rooms (Apple TV + TV set) only costs a fraction of dedicated hardware expenditure, even with large 4K screens.
